Since launching in January, we've been gathering your feedback to learn how we can improve our app to make it easier for you to preserve and share your family stories. If you haven't shared your feedback yet, you can do so here for a $10 Starbucks gift card. Today, we have an exciting new feature ready for you to try based directly on your feedback. You can now download your posted videos to save anywhere you want!
Pull up your Legacy Lock account and select a category and prompt you'd like to record or create your own. Record your story and click submit as usual.
You'll find a new Download Video icon on the bottom right corner of the screen of your newly posted video. This icon is the one shaped like a downward facing arrow into a tray. Click it, and select Yes to Download it to your camera roll.
You'll see a yellow circle spin while the download is taking place. Once that is complete, you'll see a pop up alerting you that the video has successfully be saved to your camera roll, click OK. You may now exit the Legacy Lock app and pull up your camera roll to find your newly added video in the most recent position.
Unfortunately any videos recorded before June will not be available for download at this time. But for now, we hope you enjoy the option to download your new videos and store them anywhere you'd like.
The short answer? You asked! We built this feature because we want you to feel as secure as possible trusting us with your memories. As a reminder, we use the industry standard and highly trusted AWS security of Amazon and store this data on the cloud so you and your family have access to it no matter where they live. But if at anytime, you choose you want to leave Legacy Lock and move your recorded stories elsewhere, you now have the option to do that. By downloading these videos, you can move the files to one single drive for your family to access or a backup drive to stay extra secure for a later date.
Only you! There will only be a download video option on videos that have been posted from your account. Furthermore, if you are a Private Account, the only people who can see your posted videos are the friends you accept to follow you. Not even our team sees them.
